Reading has always been a huge part of my life. I’ve been an avid reader since elementary school, and it inspired me to pursue a degree in English and to get involved in projects that allowed me to both read stories and write ones of my own. Children’s literature in particular has a special place in my heart, as reading was my main hobby growing up. (Wherever I went as a kid, I always stowed a book in my backpack, just to be safe.) Nowadays, I’m still doing a lot of reading, and I just completed my capstone thesis on the connection between children’s fairy tale tropes and the modern horror genre.
